Talabat
How it started
My freelance contract ended and I was on the hunt for a job. Exhausted, fed up with the market, and in a depressive phase.
So I ate pizza and played FIFA. Gained 5kg.
At some point I realised I had to do something, but I wasn't in the mental state to get to the gym. So I went for the easier fix: delete my card details from Talabat, so ordering food took effort.
Then I couldn't find where to delete them. I texted a friend who works at Talabat. He couldn't find it either.

That's how it started. What followed was 14 interviews across three countries, a research finding that showed me I'd been looking at half the problem, and a redesign that took six taps down to four.
I'll save the rest for the article.

The design director of Swiggy — my favourite design YouTuber — reviewed the whole case study on his channel and gave his verdict on whether I was worthy of being a product designer at Swiggy.

It also got me my first full-time design job, at a fintech company called Xpence.
