How it started

I was looking for a job and my visa was about to expire.

I could have applied to jobs. But applying makes me want to cry — not because the market is bad or the competition is high, but because most application forms are badly designed. Mundane, repetitive, and somehow always asking for the same information twice.

So I asked a different question: which digital experience that I actually use annoys me most?

At the time it was the transfer beneficiary flow in the ADCB app.

What I did

I analysed it, understood the pain points, redesigned it, took it to a café and got feedback from strangers, then presented the whole process and the redesign on LinkedIn.

Before and after

In the video I tell the origin story slightly differently. Both are true.

The reward

That video got me a job as a product designer at Emirates NBD.
